Comparison Functions and Operators

Comparison operations result in a value of 1 (TRUE), 0 (FALSE), or NULL. Comparison Functions and Operators work for both numbers and strings. Strings are converted to numbers and numbers to strings as necessary. By default, string comparisons are not case sensitive and use the current character set.
