Paradox slow on some computers and not on others

Question: When accessing Paradox tables on a server machine that is different from the client, some machines are slow while others are fast. What is wrong with the slow machines? Answer: If you have McAfee VirusShield, make sure it is set to only check "Program Files Only" instead of "All Files".
